It is with deep sadness that New Horizon Development Group (NHDG) shares the news of the passing of our valued joint venture partner and dear friend, Conrad Zurini of RE/MAX Escarpment Realty Inc.
Conrad and the Zurini family shared a longstanding relationship with Jeff Paikin, Joe Giacomodonato, their families, and the NHDG team, ultimately leading to their partnership on the 870 Queenston Road development in 2014. NHDG’s sales team members are also proud representatives of RE/MAX Escarpment Realty.
In 2022, Jeff and Conrad were inducted into the Burlington Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame together. In what was one of the first large-scale community events post-COVID, it was a particularly memorable highlight which was celebrated alongside more than 530 family members, friends, and industry colleagues – a record-breaker for the Chamber. The occasion, and Jeff and Conrad’s “fireside chat”, reflected the shared values, creativity, and mutual respect that defined their relationship.
Conrad was an exceptional leader and entrepreneur who generously gave his time and expertise to others. He was a trusted mentor and valued resource to many within the NHDG team, always offering guidance and ideas with energy and passion.
The NHDG team is grateful to have shared in Conrad’s partnership and friendship over the years. He leaves behind a lasting legacy and has made an incredibly meaningful impact on our community and the industry as a whole.
