New Horizon Development Group has made yet another splash in the white-hot Lake Ontario waterfront condo market with the recent acquisition of Bridgewater Residences on the Lake; two luxurious condominium buildings and a four-star hotel, initially launched under the Mady Development Group banner.

Currently in the preconstruction selling phase at Lakeshore Road and Elizabeth Street in Burlington, the development is scheduled for completion in late 2018. New Horizon Development Group’s promise is to have Bridgewater Residences set the mark for luxury condominium properties in Burlington.

“Throughout Southwestern Ontario, there is a very limited supply of waterfront condominiums with unobstructed views of Lake Ontario,” explains New Horizon president Jeff Paikin. “To be able to offer this level of world-class elegance on such a pristine piece of land is a once in a generation opportunity for both our company and the City of Burlington.”

Paikin’s unwavering belief in the project is apparent, as he and his wife were amongst the first to purchase at the development, long before there was any indication that Mady Development Group was looking to sell its stake in the signature site. “Simply being one of the initial purchasers was a source of immense pride and excitement for my entire family. Those emotions are now exponentially amplified as I find myself and our team at New Horizon in the perfect position to ensure the realization of Charles Mady’s inspired dream,” expressed Paikin.

Shortly after announcing the acquisition, Paikin invited all existing purchasers to the Bridgewater Residences Presentation Centre, located at 2042 Lakeshore Road, to provide assurances that the vision and promise they had purchased would not be diminished in any way, but rather enhanced due to his company’s proven record as both a condo developer and an ardent supporter of the City of Burlington.

Since the acquisition, Bridgewater Residences has experienced a significant upsurge in interest and sales. “The support we’ve received from local businesses and associations have reaffirmed our company’s decision to take over stewardship on the Bridgewater project,” says Joe Giacomodonato, Vice-President for New Horizon Development Group.

Bridgewater Residences will feature two residential condominium buildings, one 22 storey tower and one 7 storey boutique building consisting of 144 condo units between the two towers. Retail space will enhance the ground level, plus what will be the city’s first four-star, full-service hotel. The new 8 storey Marriott hotel will offer 152 guest rooms and suites, approximately 8,000 square feet of conference space, including a 3,000 square foot main ballroom and combination of executive boardroom-style meeting rooms, a full-service restaurant and lounge, an indoor pool and a state-of-the-art fitness center.  All of the hotel amenities will be available a la carte to condo purchasers, including room service delivered directly to your condominium, as well as maid service optional to any of the condominium suites.

Located in the heart of downtown, a neighbourhood where everything is comfortably close, Burlington was named the best mid-sized city in Canada in both 2013 and 2014 by MoneySense Magazine. The Art Gallery of Burlington, Spencer Smith Park, Joseph Brant Museum, the Burlington Performing Arts Centre and the Iroquois section of the Bruce Trail are all close by. Transportation includes easy access to the QEW, 400 series highways, GO stations and two international airports within an hour’s drive.

Sales for available units range in price from $500,000 to $3.5 million.
